Blogging 101
So what’s a blog, and why is it different from a web site? Blog is short for Weblog- a publicly posted diary (or log) of activities.
Their recent popularity can be attributed to free sites like Blogger and Wordpress. The coding has been already been done, and with a smorgasboard of free templates and plug-ins available, it’s incredibly easy to start your own blog.
Services such as RSS and Atom make it possible for readers to get updates from your blog without having to make a return visit to your site. Feedburner formats blog entries for email and sends updates to subscribers.
Readers can reply to a post clicking on the “Comments” link at the bottom of each post. You do not have to register with this site to post a comment. To make a suggestion, or just say “hi”, click on the Comments link and leave me a note!
