Pastel, Step 2
Here’s the next stage of my pastel. As usual, I got carried away with that dark blue I’m so fond of using. I start very dark, as it’s easier to add lighter colors over the darker ones. If you need a really, really dark blue for your shadows, you can’t go wrong with Sennelier’s Intense Blue #465.
Ugly, isn’t it? Pastels have a way of staying ugly until they’re just about done. Then you have to be really careful and not over-do them!
