Daisy Basket Update
I’m starting to add highlights and detail to the Daisy Basket. I’m only doing a little at a time so I don’t ruin it. It’s the darks that make the lights so lovely. I’m also free handing the rest of the drawing, as other methods have not been working so well for me. It’s slower, but I like the results I’m getting.
I’ve been working mostly in the upper left. I’m using various light blues to bring out the shapes of the petals, and some medium warm greens and yellows in their centers. Here’s a close-up of the upper left corner:
The dark areas you see are Sennelier #177 black green, and those “whites” aren’t white at all! They’re various shades of light blues from Sennelier and Mount Vision.
