Pink Violets in Progress
I’ve been working on the violets, but haven’t finish them. It’s taking longer than I expected, but that’s not really a problem. After all, it’s not like they’re impatients.

The WDE photos are available, so I’m off to find something for the sketchbook.

The African Violets are looking gorgeous, Lisa. I love the darks under the leaves.
They are the only pot plant I’ve ever had any success with. I had them inside in Australia in a sun room. Even though I neglected them they multiplied like wire coat hangers! Once a year I would repot them and it saddened me have to discard many babies. They love the light so I don’t really have anywhere to keep them here.
This is my first time not killing violets. It’s been so wonderful to have flowers in the house all winter. Without the direct sunlight, I’d need a grow lamp to keep them happy. Maybe that might work in the new place?
I’ve often wondered how metal coat hangers are produced. Thanks for clearing that up!
