The Seven Minute Landscape

You’ve heard of the Minute Waltz? Well, how about the seven minute landscape? Since it’s been a while between new images, I thought you might get a kick out of seeing someone create, and frame a pastel landscape in just under 7 minutes.

Part 2 of my waterfall critique regarding color and intensity is still under develpoment, and it may turn into a two-part part two, which I’d rather avoid. Since beginning this critique, I’ve been giving a lot of thought to temperature and intensity, and attempting to define which I’ve put where, and what would be better. I think cooling the far trees, and desaturating all others but the closest two will help.

The waterfall will need to be addressed before any thing else occurs. Water reflects what’s over it, and in this case it isn’t a blue sky. What the heck was I thinking?!?

So while I’m getting Part 2 completed, here are some links about color you might find useful.

Thanks for posting these links, what great info!
Isn’t it funny, the more we find out about creating art the more tempted we are to go back and re-work everything we’ve ever done! :D

Re-work, re-do, regret… luckily, Wallis paper is easy to recycle. I wish pastels came with an undo key!
