So Far So Good

Enhancing the aerial perspective.

Phew! I think I’m slowly but surely finding the best colors in the pastel box that work well for landscapes. I think my atmospheric perspective shows some improvement even though I let those distant buildings get too big. I’ll have to take a little off the top (or bottom), but I’m a whole lot happier with this one than that last one I did!

It’s not done yet, but what do you think? Is it starting to look like a field of poppies yet?

Wow! Beautiful! Yes. I am seeing poppies. I love how soft this is.

Thank you Kasie. I love anything with fields of flowers in it, and I’m hoping that this turns into my first successful landscape. Wish me luck!

    Lisa,

I love the colors in this one. The blues in the shadows are wonderful, your atmospheric perspective is great, and I love the warm greens and reds and how they contrast.

I didn’t know they were poppies, but now that you mention it, I see them. (That’s probably because I’ve never seen a field of poppies or a picture of one before.) The red is a vibrant color and made me think of lava. The sky is beautiful.

Wow, thank you Meg. It will be interesting to see how it finishes. I’m going to adjust the far buildings before I do anything else to it. Haha. I’d almost like to send it to somebody else *anybody else* to finish it.

However, since the pastels would also have to go along in order for it to be finished, I think I’ll just see what I can do with it here. Nobody plays with my toys. :D
