I’ve added another book review to the website. Harley Brown’s Eternal Truths for Every Artist contains useful information applicable to all mediums, but the demonstrations are in soft pastel. If you’re looking for step-by-step instructions, you won’t find them in this book. Harley works from life, and expects you to do the same.

Book Review: Eternal Truths for Every Artist.

As you can see, I’ve been busy in the sketchbook. The photo is from last week’s WDE, and is available for use from the reference image library. Wasn’t it nice of kitty to pose for the picture?

This was my first cat. It took me forever to get his head shaped so he looked like a cat, plus a little longer getting the spectacles to look right.

I love that cat! He looks so nonchalant and hip. Great job. I “lol-ed.” Is that a word?

Thanks Meg! :D I know Webster’s included “doh” in their last revision, so it seems likely that “lol” would’ve also been included.

Thanks Angela! I’m glad you like him. :D
