It's hard to wish someone a timely birthday greeting when the exact date remains unknown, isn't it? I'd planned on making a cake, but I forgot and hard boiled all the eggs for other things. I had everything out on the shelf ready to go before I realized it. Zucchini bread with a candle stuck into it was substituted in the interim.
