This week’s WDE offered a challenge: to fuse a reference with my own inspiration. I used half of one of the portraits, and fused it into the sketchbook with Double Tack. Then I penciled in the rest of him.
I remember doing a similar exercise in high school using photos from the local newspaper. Back then, we used tape to attach the clipping to the drawing paper, as Double Tack hadn’t been invented yet.
