I’m back! With a tiger!! Isn’t he sweet? Looks like somebody had breakfast before today’s photo shoot. I love the deep oranges. Orange you glad he’s only a paper tiger? Grrrin.

I still haven’t added a signature, and there are a couple of minor things I’m going to change, but other than that, he’s finished. I never thought I’d get this close to a likeness when I began Wendy’s tutorial. That was one heck of a tutorial!

Wendy Prior is a colored pencil artist living in New Zealand. Visit Wendy’s blog for the latest news from her studio, or stop by her website to see more of her wonderful artwork.

The original photo is from morgueFile.com, courtesy of Mr. Kenn Kiser. Mr. Kiser was kind enough to submit several great reference shots of this animal, and I hope he’s not disappointed with my rendering.

A big Thank You! to my team of experts! I couldn’t have done this without you!

Wendy, I can’t thank you enough for the drawing lesson. I’m also thrilled to death it actually looks like a tiger, and have rewarded myself appropriately. ;)

Thanks Jennifer! He wasn’t very happy about me making the comparison in the first place. Hopefully, I’ve been forgiven.

Having one of my photos selected for your beautiful illustration is the best compliment I could ever ask for.

You have a great talent, and the finished pastel is absolutely gorgeous!

Oh, I’m so glad you liked it! Having one’s photos manipulated by strangers must be quite disconcerting.

You’ve posted some great photos Mr. Kiser. I hope to work from some of the others, too.

I’ll be sure to let you know when I’ve done something else to one of your photos. Thank you so much for submitting them to morgueFile.com.
