Thanks Meg! I don't know how I got so far off on her arm- especially since I had the photo right in front of me! :D People aren't easy, but they look a whole lot better than those goofy trees that I do!

I agree with everyone. The sleeves rock, and the colors (especially background) are beautiful. I also agree about her left arm. Looks like she's missing the outer part of her elbow. Overall, it's very well done.

Congrats for doing new things and pushing yourself. *takes notes*

Ladies, I thank you for the positive input on something I thought would be better suited for The Gong Show.

Jennifer, I think you're right about her arm, but I'm happy to know the sleeves worked. :D She won't be my last ballerina.

Thanks Rita! I'm using Wallis paper, which has lots of tooth, (grit, actually) and will take lots of layering. You could probably use this stuff to sharpen your pencils. :D

The bg started with a dark gray-purple (Sennelier #478) with lighter purples from Mount Vision applied on top. The reddish color from her skin tones was added to the bg to help unify the picture.

I'm with Jennifer, this one definitely isn't a klinker! I really like how you've handled the fabric the ballerina's sleeves and the tutu.
I also like the bg in this one and the colours you've used.
What type of paper did you use for this one?

I really like the ballerina's outfit, the colours and the lighting. Not a klinker at all, the only thing that catches my eye that looks a little strange is the far arm. Looks a little longer than it should. the see through part of her sleeves is really well done. :)
