General Weirdness

It’s getting to be that time of year again. Halloween. When ghosts and goblins come out to play, causing all kinds of devious mischief. Well, the spooks are out early this year.

Our phone hasn’t worked since last week. It rings, but goes dead upon lifting the receiver. There is NO dial tone. This might not seem strange, except that we have DSL, and as you can see, it’s been quite accessible. Good grief, they’re on the same line!

The Feedburner subscriber icon has flipped it’s wig, and disappears at will. However, it’s still clickable, if you know where it is. It also reappears on it’s own, so I’m not going to bother the nice folks at Feedburner with silly questions they probably can’t answer anyway. At least, not until November.

So what’s happened to our two shoppers? Have goblins carried them away to places unknown? Are their icons missing? Do their phone lines work? Do they even have telephones in Mysore?

Two Shoppers, WIP, step 2

Alas, I cannot answer any of these questions. General Weirdness does not make himself accountable to civilians.

See! Halloween is affecting you too Lisa! That phone thing is kinda, well… creepy.

Love the vermillion brown, although I don’t think I’d want to live in a place called ‘Mysore’! :p

The phone thing has been very creepy, but internet access is SO much more important… unless the house catches on fire. ;)

It’s the Mysore Market in India. I’m hoping it’s pronounced differently than it looks. Maybe it’s just a huge place, and shoppers are often overheard saying “oh, my sore feet!”

    Lisa,

Wow, I liked the brown OK in the last post, but coupled with the blue and the gold it is awesome! Can’t wait to see this one evolve.

And about the DSL - we just had a bunch of problems with the DSL, but the phone worked fine. When the repairman came, he said 1. you need filters on your lines to keep the two from interfering and 2. they are separate wires, so one can bust and the other’s fine.

Thanks Meg! I love market scenes, and want to do more of them. Hopefully my people will improve better than my trees did. Figures are a wonderful way to avoid doing trees, aren’t they? :D

I wondered if the filter had stopped working, so I tried the phone without any DSL attachments. It was still dead.

The technician finally called, and fortunately, the problem was somewhere other than our house. No repair expense to us. Yay!
