Dial Tone!
The phone company has “fixed” the problem. We now have a dial tone, but there’s also a terrible buzz on the line. I wonder… do today’s youth even know why it’s called a dial tone? Anyway, I can answer the phone, but I can barely hear our callers. Maybe it’s a cell phone disguised as a land line?
I’m still working on the shoppers, but I remembered to get some in-progress pictures for you!

In progress, step 3

Step 4
Their faces got a bit wonky at this stage, and that bag isn’t big enough to require two people to hold it open. So of course, I had to make some changes.

Step 5
Okay, I think their eyes are closer to where they belong now, but I don’t like what I’ve done with the background behind the shoulder of the lavender shopper.
The background vendors aren’t adding anything to the picture except a distraction from the center of interest, and I think they’re about to be swept out of the picture altogether. Tee-hee, the wicked witch of the studio has a special broom made especially for such occasions.
I’m pleased with the progress of the woman on the right, in spite of the fact that she almost exactly matches her garment. Oh well, it’ll be interesting to see what I end up doing to finish this, because I haven’t the slightest idea of what I’m doing! Shhhhh, that’s our little secret, mmmmkay?
