Barn in Snow

Barn in Snow, Ink
Old Barn in Snow
Sketchbook, Ink

Pen and ink is well suited to old barns, don’t you think? I love my Rotring, but the fine point is better suited to larger works, or at least better quality paper. I have an extra fine tip pen on backorder, and hope to be getting it soon.

I’m getting down to the last few pages in the sketchbook, and I’m looking for a replacement. I’d like heavier paper, and am hoping better quality paper might also address the problems I’ve had using pencil, which must be fixed if I want to keep the drawing intact.

Any recommendations?

Ink does suit this subject well! Love the textures.

No ideas on sketchbooks - mine are all cheapies. I’d love to hear what you decide on.

Thanks Meg! I was tickled pink with the trees.

I think this is 65 lb. paper, and ink soaks through it way too easily. Pencil drawings smear really badly, but ink lets me avoid the fixative.
