Outstanding

Out Standing in it’s Field
Sketchbook, Ink
Here, we have another outstanding old barn from the sketchbook. An old barn out standing in it’s field. Har, har, har. I wonder if those are amber waves of grain, or sheaves of pigment black?
On a side note, if you didn’t find today’s post the least bit amusing, you probably won’t like the next one either.

Lisa, I’m loving these old barn sketches you’ve been doing…corny jokes and all! :p
It’s such a shame that so many of the old barns are disappearing undeneath cookie-cutter subdivisions. They’re so interesting to look at and make great subjects for art.
Thanks Rita, I’m glad you’re enjoying them. I’m not done yet, but neither is the basement. Corn? I haven’t done any corn… just snow and wheat.
I’d love to buy an old barn and turn it into a home + studio. Gees, we’d even have room to keep the chickens inside!
