Got Milk?

Today we have a big, white barn. Big white barns are usually found on dairy farms, and I wonder, is that because casein comes from milk? Cheese, yogurt, butter and ice cream are also made from milk products, but we don’t use them to paint barns.
Actually, barns are disappearing from the landscape at a rather alarming rate, and many states have historical barn preservation services available to residents. Want to know more about old barns? The National Park Service, the California Farm Bureau, and the University of Vermont all provide wonderful historical information and preservation tips.

I love old barns and houses. It’s sad to see them torn down.
Me too. They have so much character, and the shopping centers and subdivisions replacing them have absolutely no charm whatsoever, although they are full of characters…
