K is for kaleidoscope. K is for Krylon, Koh-I-Noor, and kraft paper. K is for kneaded eraser, and kolinsky sable.
K is for khaki. K is for King’s yellow and King’s blue, and for Kermes, a deep red made from insects that live on the Scarlet oak. K is for Kassler yellow, Kernel black, and Krems white. K is for kaolin, a filler mixed with pastels and gouache.
K is for kaisho, printed Japanese calligraphy, and for ko-fude, the small brush used to write it. K is for kami, the paper it’s written on.

K is for Korean art, Kassite art from Mesopotamia, and the Knossos frescos. K is for krater, kyathos, and kylix, all ancient Greek vessels, and for kouros, their statuesque young men.
K is for Kandinsky, Kahn, and Klahn. K is for Klimt, Kroyer, Koekkoek, and Knight, both father and son. K is for kiln, kickwheel, and Klee.
K is for the keepers we don’t throw away.

What a (pleasant) surprise!
It’s a thrill to be able to include living artists in the list, especially a pastellist.
